In a few minutes you will know how to create a client & domain using Plesk.

Whats Plesk?

Plesk is a Hosting Control panel, it allows you to control clients, websites, domains and much more!

How Plesk Describes it:

Where can i get it ? And what does it cost?

Plesk  can be found at http://www.swsoft.com/plesk/.

You can download the system for free! But you can only create 1 client, and 1 domain. If you wish to add more, purchase a license!

Lets start of with our tutorial!

First connect to your domain + the admin controle panel port.

By default you should be able to connect likte this:

Now you can replace "plesk.82.win.demo.swsoft.com" by your own domain.
I\\\\\\\'m using this server to work on this tutorial

Now once you connect to that url you will be redirected to the login page:
Now login with your account details.
Remember to use strong passwords! Its you server were talking about!
You need to understand, that there are people who like to destroy your server for fun. And replace your websites, by there logo, porn, advertisement and more!

After you entered your account details, you will be redirected to your Desktop page.
This allows you to see the latest plesk news, your server information, Statistics, Tools and Favorites.

For this tutorial, you only have to look at the Tools.
You see all kinds of icons, and shortcuts, now its time to click Create a Domain.

Now you will be redirected to a new page, where you are asked to select a client.
The domain will be registered to that that client.

Lets say we want to add a new client.
So click the Add New Client Account icon.

We need to fill in some information about the client.

The fields with a red " * " are required fields and have to be filled.
I will tell you some information about the required fields.

Contact Name - This is the name of your client, first & last name.
Login - This is the username a client has to enter to get access to Plesk.
Password - A password for the client, ADVISE!  CHOSE A STRONG PASSWORD!

Now i will tell you some information about fields that dont explain them there selfs.

Interface language - This is the language that Plesk will display to the client when logged in.
Interface Skin - This is the skin a client gets when he is logged in.
Interface customization template  - You can create a default template for  certain websites.
Select template -  Select a preferred   template for a client.
Create SiteBuilder User - If you have this checked you will also create a user for SiteBuilder. It is advised to ask a client if he wants it.

Now hit next.
On the next page you see the Client User List , select the user we just created.
When you have the user selected, hit Next >>.

Now its time to add the domain.
On the next screen you should get this:

Domain Name - This is the domain we want to add, check WWW if you want to allow acces on www.<domain>.
Select Template - If you made a template for certain domains, you can select it.
Select an IP address. - Select the IP addres  you want to add the domain on.

Now hit Next >>.
On the next page, you will get info telling you that the creation of your domain was successful. 
Below this message you will see limit, this allows you to set limits for the domain, disk space for example.

Now you could leave everything Unlimited, but its advised to only apply this to your ow domain. If you have a real client, you should add limits.

Maximum number of domain aliases  - Max number of domain aliases for example alias.mydomain.com
Maximum number of subdomains  - Max number of subdomains for example http://sub.mydomain.com
Disk space - Max amount of space a client can use.
MySQL databases quota - Max Database Size
Microsoft SQL databases quota - Max Database Size
Maximum amount of traffic - Max traffic a domain can have, for example 5000MB
Maximum number of web users - Max number of other user that have access to plesk or ftp.
Maximum number of additional Microsoft FrontPage accounts - Max number of FrontPage accounts
Maximum number of additional FTP accounts - Max amount of additional FTP accounts. Default you can have 1 FTP Account.
Maximum number of MySQL databases - Max MySQL databases.
Maximum number of Microsoft SQL Server databases - Max number of Microsoft SQL databases.
Maximum number of mailboxes - Number of email accounts that a client can have.
Mailbox quota - Max space a mailboxes can t ake.
Total mailboxes quota - Max size all mailboxes can have together. 
Maximum number of mail redirects  - Max mail redirects, for example, my@mydomain.com sends email to my2@domain2.com.
Maximum number of mail groups - Max number of email groups, you could create groups such as Administrators, Moderators, Members etc...
Maximum number of mail autoresponders - Max autoresponders that can be created. These auto reply when they receive a email.
Maximum number of mailing lists - Max number of mailing list that can be added. To mass email for example.
Maximum number of Java applications - Max number of Java applications that can be added to the domain.
Maximum number of shared SSL links - Max SSL links that can be shared by a domain.
Maximum number of ODBC connections - Max connections that can be made using ODBC.
Validity period - Time until expires
Maximum number of ColdFusion DSN connections - Max number of DNS connections made by ColdFusion.

When you filled all fields, or checked Unlimited, hit next!

Now you will get some info about the creation of the domain.
Now its time to set up the Physical hosting select it, and hit Next >>

I will explain unclear fields only..

FTP/Microsfot FrontPage Login - This is the login name for FTP using ftp client or frontpage.
FTP/Microsfot FrontPage Login - Password for the FTP account
Access to system - Access to Plesk system, yes or no.
Publish site with SiteBuilder - Publish your website with the SiteBuilder System.
Create Blog and Photo Gallery subdomains - Should it automaticly create a subdomain for BLOG, and PHOTO gallery.
Microsoft FrontPage support - Does it support FrontPage.
Web statistics - Enable website statistic system.

Once you entered all needed fields, press Finish!
Now you will be redirected to the Desktop Page.

You will receive a message, that the hosting has been successfully setup.
